The head of the Ministry of defence and the Minister for European integration of Georgia want to visit USA

According to the Ambassador, in meetings with senior U.S. officials, the Georgian side once again affirms her commitment of NATO membership and ask for support in this matter.
"At the moment is preparing the visit of the new Minister of defense, during which once more will be raised this topic (NATO membership). We also begin to prepare the visit of the state Minister for European integration, " said Gurgenidze correspondents.
Institutional cooperation between Georgia and NATO began in 1994, when Georgia became a member of the Partnership for peace (PfP - Parntnership for Peace). After the "rose revolution" in 2004, cooperation between Georgia and NATO became more intense.
