Kiev expects that the Russian Federation would advise DNR and LNR from the elections
Ukraine expects that the Russian Federation will have an impact on the self-proclaimed Authorities of Donetsk and Lugansk national republics in order to hold elections there, said Deputy head of the presidential administration of Ukraine Konstantin Eliseev.
"The Russian Federation should put pressure on their supporters to prevent or cancel the elections. And if these elections are to be held, they will not be recognized and will represent a serious danger to the Minsk process, " Elisha said at a press conference on Tuesday.
The Parliament of Ukraine appointed on 25 October next local elections. According to Rada adopted the document, elections are not held beyond the control of Kiev on the territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. The list of the Kiev-controlled cities in the Donbass, which will be held local elections will determine the Ukrainian Central election Commission. The authorities of the self-proclaimed DND and LNR many times stated about the conduct of local elections regardless of the wishes of Kiev.
