SpiceGirls are not reuniting, but brewing a reality talentshow. The five members are indeed in U.K. for a get together and Melanie Brown allegedly has hinted that they are talking about teaming up to create a TV show where they will find a new version of themselves.
The plan is to search for talented singers and dancers for a SpiceGirls musical in a West End production. Mel B, Emma Bunton, Melanie C, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Adams reportedly will sit on the judging panel and give advice to the contestants. "This is an idea which appeals to all of the original members. It`s a fantastic new way to broaden out the Spice franchise and cash in on their personalities, their story and their songs," a source told The Sun.
The idea is also supported by the band`s former manager Simon Fuller who is also the producer of "American Idol". The source added, "It will take on a life of its own. The concept could even be replicated in other countries. The sky is the limit with this one."
None of the SpiceGirls had made a comment about this but Mel C has explained that their get together was purely for personal pleasure. "The thing is, Melanie was in town, Geri was around, me and Emma are often here, and we just thought let`s get together, have a girly night," she said. "I`m in the West End now for six months. Everyone`s busy, Emma`s doing her radio show, of course Victoria`s doing all her fashion line - so everyone`s busy now. Geri`s always busy."
