Brittany Murphy Dies
Actress Brittany Murphy has died.
It`s been confirmed the actress, aged 32, who was the star of films like Just Married and 8 Mile, passed away at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in Los Angeles.
Her publicist, Nicole Perna, released a statement reading: "In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support.
"It is their wish that you respect their privacy."
TMZ alleges Brittany went into cardiac arrest and that her mother reportedly discovered her in the shower, but this has not been confirmed.
Brittany was married to Simon Monjack, a British screenwriter and the couple lived in Los Angeles.
According to People, Brittany was "found unresponsive" on Sunday morning in her Hollywood home. She was then taken to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre and was pronounced dead just after 10am (US Time).
Actor Ashton Kutcher, whom she used to date, and starred alongside in the comedy Just Married, posted a message on Twitter which read: "2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine.
"My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany`s family, her husband, & her amazing mother Sharon."
The LA County Coroner`s Office will be conducting an autopsy as soon as possible, reports People.
Captain John Kades of the Coroner`s office told People: "Foul play is not suspected at this time because there were no outward signs of trauma or other injuries."
