Jessica Simpson can-t wait to turn 30 because she feels so comfortable with her body
The singer-and-actress reaches the landmark age in July, and although many people dread it she says it can-t come soon enough. Jessica has been widely criticised for her fluctuating weight in recent years, but now feels totally confident with herself. She has spent a lot of time getting to know what she likes and dislikes, and says that is the key to accepting herself.
"I`m very excited to turn 30, and I just feel like I`m now the most comfortable I`ve ever been in my body. I`m a woman, and I have curves and I celebrate it, and I`m definitely confident," she told Popeater.com. "But you can only hear people talk so much c**p about you for so long to where it`s just to the point of like, you can`t say anything else. It`s not hurting my feelings anymore. You`re not getting to me. You`re just trying to make money!"
Jessica added she doesn`t feel there is more pressure on her to look good than on other people. She knows women of all ages worry about their appearance, and wishes it wasn-t the case.
She has advised young girls who are fretting about their looks to start a journal, explaining writing down your feelings can sometimes help you understand what is really important.
"I think it`s very important for a girl to really understand herself - whether that`s journaling, or writing or whatever you can do to really do your own personal homework - just know who are you are, and know what is special about you, and even embracing your flaws," she explained. "Just knowing that there is always gonna be pressure, [whether] you`re the biggest star in the world or if you`re just at high school walking down the halls. Everybodyfeels pressure to be beautiful, and I think that the only way to be beautiful is to own it for yourself. That`s the only way to feel beautiful."
