The 53-year-old actress is currently starring in a new production of Noel Coward`s Private Lives on London`s West End. She has always loved theatre, and is even more keen to embrace it now because she thinks it-s time she branched out into more serious roles.
"I think it`s time to start taking risks," she said. "Well, if not know, when? Now is the time, isn`t it? I have the appetite and I have the great desire and I have the love of what I do and they keep you going. You don-t know if you can do things unless you try."
Kim is famous for playing Manhattan maneater Samantha Jones in hit TV and movie franchise Sex and the City. Her latest stage role is a huge departure from her usual characters, and even involved a big live fight scene with co-star Matthew Macfayden.
"I don-t hold back and neither does Matthew," Kim told the British edition of OK! magazine. "It-s choreographed within an inch of its life so I never feel in danger, I never feel anything is out of control.
"I feel it-s part of the story so I just go for it every night. I looked at this as a love story and I looked at it as people who can-t live with each other and can-t live without each other."
