Britain has decided to postpone the purchase of Sky by Rupert Murdoch
The British government did not allow American multinational media company 21st Century Fox to buy pay-TV Sky (SKYAY) without further consideration. On Thursday said the Minister of culture U. K. Karen Bradley.
She said that the deal concern the public interest, because it can lead to the fact that the family of Rupert Murdoch too much impact on the British media.
It is a major obstacle to Murdoch, who was hoping to add another crown to his media Empire.
Bradley said that the company would have the third largest overall coverage of any news provider in the U.K., covering TV, radio, Newspapers and digital publications.
