Letter from Tupac Shakur to the Madonna auctioned (photos)
Letter to rapper TupacShakur, who wrote it back in 1995 Madonna became public.
Shakur wrote a letter to Madonna when he was serving a sentence in prison. In a note he says that he wants to end a romantic relationship with the Queen of the pop scene. The cause of the rupture was his skin color.
"I don't want to jeopardize your career due to the fact you're seeing black," wrote Tupac. Gotta Have Rock and Roll, sold it to the letter this month. Although the authenticity of the letter has not been confirmed, it did not prevent the site to publish excerpts. Shakur apologized to Madonna in the letter, adding: "I never wanted to hurt you".
Madonna has publicly commented on the alleged statements Shakur, but spoke about their relationship in an interview with Howard stern in 2015. The singer said that Shakur is partially responsible for her memorable appearance on "The Late Show" in 1994. "He forced me to talk about life in General, so when I went to the show, I felt like a gangster," she said.
Shakur was shot in 1996. Last month Madonna posted a photo with Shakur in honor of his birthday.
