Sandra Bullock and her new son are moving to New Orleans
The Oscar-winning actress announced she had adopted three-and-a-half-month-old Louis Bardo on Wednesday, the same day she revealed she had filed for divorce from Jesse James after he was accused of a string of affairs. Sandra is now said to be planning to relocate to New Orleans, Louis` place of birth.
Moving trucks were seen unloading furniture into the $2.25 million five-bedroom mansion Jesse and Sandra purchased in the city before the cheating claims went public. Three large trucks turned up at the house and spent several hours unloading chairs, paintings, sofas and other items.
Sandra was not seen at the property, but revealed she was considering a move from Los Angeles to New Orleans in the shock interview she gave to People magazine, announcing her adoption and divorce news.
"New Orleans in his city, and he is going to know it inside and out," she told the magazine. "Without the spirit of the people who live there and take care of the city and honour its traditions, its love for music, its love for life, take those people out and you don`t have why I love New Orleans so much."
Sandra began the adoption process with Jesse four years ago. The couple became parents to Louis in January, but decided to keep him a secret while he settled into the family. Sandra was also wary of introducing him to the world during the awards season - she received the best actress prize at the Oscars in February.
The 45-year-old will now bring up Louis alone.
Sandra will be meeting with Jesse in the next few weeks to discuss a divorce settlement. The pair signed a pre-nuptial agreement, which states Jesse is not entitled to any of her money in the event of the marriage ending due to his infidelity.
