Lindsay Lohan play porn star in a new movie
Last month, it was reported the actress had told pals she had won the role, although nothing was confirmed. Lindsay was said to be thrilled to be involved in the movie, which will trace the life of the Deep Throat actress, a 70s porn star who went on to become a feminist anti-porn activist. The 23-year-old was said to be adamant the role would help revive her career, and photographer Tyler Shields has confirmed it is going ahead.
"The director Matthew Wilder contacted me and asked me if I would do the promos for the movie," Tyler told E! Online over the weekend.
Reports suggest Wilder will discuss the film at the upcoming Cannes Film Festival. Lindsay recently gave an interview saying she had won a major new part, but said she was not allowed to discuss it until it is announced at Cannes later this month.
Last week, pictures Tyler took of Lindsay for his new book The Dirty Side of Glamor caused outrage. In them, the scantily-clad actress posed with a gun, seemingly pretending to be dead in one shot.
"The photos I have not released will top anything you`ve seen before," the photographer said. "Let`s just say they`re what you`ve seen maybe times ten, maybe times 100."
Lindsay has become better known for her turbulent personal life than her acting prowess in recent years. She had an on/off relationship with DJ Samantha Ronson, and has been regularly seen falling out of clubs in the early hours of the morning. She insists she takes her job seriously, but rumours she is often late to set have left movie bosses unsure about working with her.
The star`s father Michael Lohan has repeated claims she is addicted to prescription medication and needs to go to rehab, allegations she has always denied. Michael staged an intervention at Lindsay`s Los Angeles home last month, saying he wanted to "save" her and her 16-year-old sister Ali. He has now hired an attorney, and has spoken of getting a conservatorship over Lindsay, which would see him in charge of her personal and business affair, or forcing her into rehab.
Michael is currently in Los Angeles, and is hoping to meet with Lindsay and her mother Dina so they can "get on the same page with a lot of issues".
