The outspoken Hole rocker has signed on to produce and appear in an "amazing" TV programme that will focus on her life and music. She has publicly blasted celebrities that turn their lives into television in the past, but "caved" and agreed to do so herself because she was "bored" and couldn`t get her hands on the self-help books she wanted.
She has insisted her show will be unlike any others, and even made the bizarre claim that she won`t be on it often.
"i would really really like the books, because they may help me deal w crzy and also cos im bored. where the hell are the books? argh! so ive caved im producing a `realityshow` BUT itll be amazing and i wont be on it much (sic)," she wrote on her Twitter page.
Courtney, 45, has had a series of angry outbursts on the social networking site recently, including long rants directed at Smashing Pumpkins rocker Billy Corgan and her own daughter Frances Bean Cobain. She has now apologised for these messages, and vowed never to stop attacking people online.
"i wont let that happen again i dont know how it did, i just got thrown for a loop left breathless and it affected work and thats unacceptabl.
"well im being deliberately extremely obtuse and trying my best to keep my private sh*t private but a girl can get p*ssed (sic)," she wrote.
