Prince thinks he has a full head of hair because he has played the electric guitar for so long.
The 52-year-old pop star shot to fame in the 1970s and he has since released 21 studio albums. The star is currently promoting his latest record 20TEN, which will be released this weekend, and has shocked people with his youthful appearance.
One interviewer remarked that Prince looked closer to 25 than 50 during a recent meeting, something the artist credits to his long musical career.
"Playing electric guitar your whole life does something to you," he said in an interview with British newspaper The Daily Mirror. "I`m convinced all that electricity racing through my body made me keep my hair."
Prince`s new record will be distributed free with the publication on Saturday. His decision to give the album away has led many to speculate it is of poor quality, but the star insists it is one of the best he has ever recorded. He says he is "ashamed" of how bad some of his early records are, and is convinced fans will love 20TEN because his love of music means he is constantly improving.
"Music is my life. It`s my trade. If I can`t get it out of my head I can`t function," he explained. "Someone told me they saw me at my peak, but how do they know when my peak is? I think I`m improving all the time. When I listen to my old records I`m ashamed of how I played then."
