Nicole Richie dances in front of a mirror
The fashion designer says she checks her outfit is all in place by doing some energetic moves moments before she leaves the house to stop any wardrobe malfunctions.
She said: "When you go out and have your outfit on, you should check that everything is securely in place by dancing in the mirror."
Nicole - who has two children, Harlow, two, and 11-month-old Sparrow with fiance Joel Madden - also said being a mother has made her more organised in her life.
She told Stella magazine: "I`m a Virgo and I`m really good at scheduling.
And I really make it work. I get up at 6.30 every day.
"I get up before my children and have some time to myself. I like to be fresh for my family."
As well as being a dedicated mother, Nicole also makes sure she puts a lot of pride and effort into her appearance, and encourages other women to do the same.
Talking about her Winter Kate clothing range, she said: "I tend to dress a little more sophisticated than most women do.
"I know it`s a big struggle with a lot of women to dress up - especially now women have been working - because it can be uncomfortable.
"So it was important to me with my role to make clothes that are slightly more dressed up but easy to wear. And that`s all in the fabric."
