Products that make us smarter
Scientific journal Psychology Today published article devoted to products which contribute to increase of mental abilities.
Scientists made a conclusion that products good for heart are also health-giving for brains. But the most surprising fact is that the majority of these products present at festive table.
Researchers think that people get smarter from cranberry. It contains lots of antioxidants which react with free radicals of oxygen. These radicals synthesize hormone cholesterol which is harmful for heart and vessels, they are also responsible for worsening of memory and work of musculoskeletal system with aging. Investigations on mice revealed that diet based on cranberry improves memory and leads to more balanced work of musculoskeletal system.
The second place after cranberries takes bilberries. This berry has the same properties as cranberry but less amount of antioxidants. But it contains substances which improve eyesight.
The third place is shared between beets and cabbage. Substances, contained in these vegetables, destroy ferments which can lead to Alzheimer`s disease and increase of cognitive function.
After vegetables comes fat fish. Such sorts of fish as salmon, sardine and herring have
fatty acids which also decompose harmful ferments. Investigations revealed that eating these sorts of fish even once per week leads to sufficient decrease of Alzheimer`s disease risk.
Honorable 5-th place over smart food belongs to spinach. Scientists established that spinach reduces development of problems in nervous system, resulted by aging.
