First monument to Bruce Lee erected in Bosnia
Bosnian fans of Bruce Lee from Mostar town opened first in the world monument, devoted to legendary Hong Kong actor, surpassing Hong Kong by day.
Solemn ceremony of Hong Kong monument to Bruce Lee will take place on Sunday evening at famous star lane, where the most famous Hong Kong actors leave their prints of palms.
In Mostara statue of Bruce Lee in natural size was erected in the park, which was almost completely destroyed during Bosnian war. It was reopened only last year.
City administration considered that figure of Bruce Lee can unite national Diasporas of the city.
2.5 meter statue of Hong Kong actor will become a symbol of struggle against injustice and interethnic antagonism.
In Hong Kong money for monument were collected from whole world. For several months Hong Kong fan club of Bruce Lee managed to collect $100 thousands. Sculpture will be erected by famous Chinese sculpture Zao Chunen.
At solemn ceremony of monument opening brother of Bruce - Robert Lee - will take part. Monument is confined to 65-th anniversary from birth of famous actor.
During annual Hong Kong cinema festival in March of current year, Bruce Lee was awarded honorable title "star of millennium". Award was handed to Lee`s daughter Shannon.
