Election in Chechnya pronounced valid
By 10.00 12.1% (more than 60 thousands) of general amount of electors have participated in election of Chechen parliament, informed the chairman of Republic election committee Ismail Baikhanov. "Current election is more active than previous pre-term election of Chechen president. Voting takes place at calm environment, there were no violations registered", - he said.
By official information, by 14:00 (Moscow time) attendance to parliament election in Chechnya exceeded set by law minimum of 25%, necessary for declaration of election valid. This was informed by "Moscow Echo" with reference to election committee of Chechen republic. By this information, 26% from total amount of registered electors came to election centers.
Despite the fact that election has already been declared valid, all 430 election centers will be open till 18:00 by Moscow time.
At present moment thousands of Russian observers present at Chechnya, including delegates of State Duma and members of Federation Assembly. There are also international observers.
Electors must chose 58 delegates of 2-chamber parliament (there 61 places but 3 single member constituencies don`t participate in election on November 27). 20 delegates of National Assembly will be elected from lists of parties, and the rest 20 - from single member constituencies.
345 candidates pretend on 58 parliament seats, including 106 - from lists of All-Russian political parties: "Unified Russia", Communist Party of Russian Federation, Association of Right Forces, Liberal Democratic Party of Russia, party of national revival "National will", "Rodina", "Yabloko" and "Eurasian union".
