Poisoned water of Chinese river to be examined in Moscow
Samples of water taken from the "kernel" of the polluted patch in the river Sungari will be sent to Moscow for examining in laboratories today.
The experts from Khabarovsk, who were working together with Chinese colleagues in Sungari river basin for a week, delivered samples the day before.
Various analyses for availability of chemical agents will be carried out in capital research centers, was reported during the meeting of emergency situations commission in Khabarovsk territory.
Analyses of water samples taken from Sungari are being carried out in laboratories of the Institute of tectonics and geophysics and the Institute of water and ecological problems simultaneously.
Chinese country delivered the party of latest liquid chromatographs for rapid analysis of water the day before to Khabarovsk. For specialists-chemists from China began teaching their colleagues from Khabarovsk how to work with this equipment.
According to local Emergency Control Ministry now water in city water-pipe completely conforms to standards. 150 tons of activated charcoal were conveyed to Khabarovsk for water purification. After unloading it will be delivered to water supply point immediately. And 50 tons of adsorbent were delivered to the territory?s center by aircrafts of Russian Ministry of Defense and Emergency Control Ministry.
