Bird flu came to Astrakhanskaya oblast
New cases of bird flu infection among migrant birds have been revealed in Astrakhanskaya oblast. For last day another 12 dead swans were found in Kazymyaksky district. Total amount of dead wild birds became 560. Dead animals were burnt.
Fist signal of migrant birds` death in Volga delta was received on November 17. Results of analysis confirmed presence of bird flu pathogen. Authorities took appropriate measures for localization of infection nidus and for prevention of contact between wild and domestic birds. The cases of bird flu infection among poultry are not registered.
