"Rokot" with European scientific satellite took off from Plesetzk
"Rokot" will help out satellite to get to orbit, whereupon vehicle will be controlled by European space agency.
Cryosat is the first spacecraft which was launched within the bounds of "Living Planet" program. Satellite with mass of 700 kilometers will come out on orbit of 720 kilometers for realization of precise measurements of width and duration of ice covering in artic oceanic regions.
Cryosat mission will last 3.5 years. This time satellite will trace changes in condition of ice covering and total level of world ocean.
The next launching of "Living Planet" is planned on August 2006. Rokot will get spacecraft GOCE to orbit.
