Abramovich is keen on wine
Governor of Chukotsky autonomous oblast Roman Abramovich is interested in wines and vineyards.
Representative of Abramovich regularly visits Montalchino town in Italinan province Siena in search of winery on sale. In particular, Russian multimillionaire intends to buy Castello Banfi enterprise, which produces wine Brunello di Montalcino. But owners of enterprise refused to sell vineyard to Abramovich though the governor of Chukotka suggested 500 millions euros for Castello Banfi.
Representative of Abramovich negotiates with 3 more wineries, situated in the same region. Negotiations with enterprises Argiano, Col d`Orcia and Poggione are close to the end; therefore, Abramovich can become the producer of Brunello wine soon. As Italian La Stampa informs, Abramovich is the fan of this sort of wine for several years.
According to rating, published in Forbes in March 2005, governor of Chukotka is the richest man in Russia and takes 26-th place in list of richest men in the world.
