Kabardino-Balkaria inhabitant proves his relation to baron Munchausen in court
District court of Prokhladnoye town (Kabardino-Balkaria) acknowledged the town citizen Vladimir Nagovitsin to be Hieronym von Munchausen descendant, reported the source in the court on Wednesday. Nagovitsin produced in court historical documents, according to which in July, 1739 in St. Petersburg baron Munchausen met princess Golitsina, and as a result of a love affair, she gave birth to illegitimate daughter. To avoid scandal the princess gave the girl for foster care to the Cossack chieftain Nagovitsin family. Thus, Russian branch appeared on baron Munchausen?s family tree. The baron?s descendant got a new passport under the name of Vladimir Nagivo-Munchausen. New Year?s Eve he celebrated with the shot from the double-barreled cannon of his own design, which shoots with rotten eggs and pickled cucumber. The cannon does without gun powder, says Vladimir Nagovo-Munchausen.
