Polish people elect new president
Presidential elections started in Poland.
14 people nominated themselves for election. But the main struggle is expected between Lexo Kachinsky, representative who won on parliament elections with party "Law and justice", and Donald Tusk, representative of "Civic platform" party and possible supporter of "Law and Justice" in ruling coalition.
As analysts think nobody will collect 40% of elector`s votes necessary for victory. If this happens, second tour of elections will be held on October 23. According to tentative data, Tusk must collect the majority of votes (40% of all electors) in first round. Election centers opened in Poland at 6:00 a.m. by local time and will close at 8:00 p.m. Immediately afterwards, exit polls will be published and by Monday morning final results of election will be proclaimed.
