Stavropoulos physicians confirmed diagnose of Chechen children
Stavropoulos medical academy confirmed diagnose of "pseudoasthmatic syndrome of psychogenic reaction" among sick Chechen children of Shelkovsky district. As vice-minister of Chechen health protection Sultan Alimkhajiev informed, 14 children with symptoms of asphyxia and cramps were hospitalized to clinics of borderline state under Stavropoulos medical academy.
"After familiarization with case history and examination of patients, the head of clinics, professor Igor Boev confirmed that this is "pseudoasthma of psychogenic nature", - said Alimkhajiev.
Earlier similar diagnose was confirmed by committee under leadership of Zurab Kikalidze, vice-director of Moscow institute named after Serbsky.
Sultan Alimkhajiev also informed that 18 sick children with parents were sent to Zheleznovodsk health center, where they undergo course of medical treatment and recreation. All patients with above described symptoms were discharged from hospitals of Groznyy town; only 4 people remain in Shelkovsky regional hospital.
Altogether 87 cases of illness were registered among children and adults in Chechen region from December 17, 2005.
