"Gazprom" to increase gas transit through Byelorussia
President of Byelorussia Alexander Lukashenko has met with vice-president of "Gazprom", general director of "Gazexport" Alexander Medvedev in Minsk this Sunday.
As press-service of Byelorussian president informed, Lukashenko and Medvedev discussed perspectives of co-operation between Byelorussian concern "Beltransgas" and Russian "Gazprom". In particular, subjects of gas supplies, co-operation in investment sphere were touched.
"Beltransgas" and "Gazprom" reached the agreement about formation of special working group, which will prepare concrete projects for soon realization. Among them are projects of underground gas storage in Byelorussia, increase of transit powers of gas supplies to Europe through territory of Byelorussia.
In particular, volumes of underground gas storage will supposedly reach 1 milliard of cubic meters.
