Plushenko became 5-times European champion
Russian Evgeny Plushenko won European figure-skating championship in Lyon. Plushenko confidently figure-skated his free program and got 254.33 points for performance in France.
His closest rival after short program French Brian Joubert couldn`t keep second position. During performance of free program he made several rude mistakes and could pretend only on bronze medal. World champion-2005 Swiss Stephane Lambiel won "silver" of continental championship for the first time in career.
Second Russian figure-skater Ilya Klimkin, who was 8-th after first day of competition, figure-skated well on Saturday and occupied 5-th position (197.42 points). Therefore, it is most likely that Klimkin will participate in Olympiad in Turin along with Plushenko, because third Russian sportsman Sergey Dobrin demonstrated only 15-th result (165.63).
This year Russian figure-skaters managed to repeat last year`s success and win all golden medals of European championship.
