Surplus of specialists with university degree in Vologda region
Vologda city placement service had over 15,5 thousand vacancies in 2005, said its director Nadezhda Bersenyova.
According to her, misbalance of demand and supply stays the main problem of labour-market. There is lack of workers and surplus of specialists with university degree observed.
The structure of vacancies showed 5% growth of demand for professional workmen last year, and it constituted 89% of all vacancies. The most claimed professions on the labour-market are professions of a builder and worker.
There are also demand for experienced managers, stockmen, junior managers, doctors, programmers. Now, as before, about 80% vacancies are for men, meanwhile about 80% unemployed are women.
