Sportsman died at "Russian ski-track" competition
Competition of "Ski-track of Russia-2006" ended up with death of a participant. 41-year old skier died at mass sport event, which was held in Novgorod oblast.
When doctors arrived to regional competitions the man was in sever state. By testimony of witnesses, skier suddenly lost consciousness after finish of 2-km race. Despite of efforts doctors were unable to reanimate the sportsman.
As relatives informed the man complained on chest pains during last days but didn`t refuse from participation in mass competition. By tentative data, the man died of heart attack.
About 20 thousand people participated in regional stage of "Russian ski-track" competitions. The race was planned on February 4-5 but was postponed for a week because of sharp temperature drop.
