Biryukov said that on August 22, open area on Pyatnitskaya street, after 3 days on the streets Pokrovka and Maroseika, and August 27, opens the pedestrian area from Gagarin square to the square of Kiev station, informs ITAR-TASS. Deputy Moscow mayor stressed that all pedestrian areas will be illuminated art lighting, noting that the level of lighting in Moscow in the current quarter compared with the previous increased by 40%, but the level of energy consumption in this sector grew by only 2 percent. "This is because we use energy-efficient solutions in this field," added Biryukov.
Recall that previously the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin, inspecting the progress of work, recalled that Maroseika and Pokrovka is one of the oldest streets in Moscow and the last time they were "not in a very excellent condition". "At the moment is radical reconstruction. There was previously a lot of machines running facades, bad lighting and landscaping," said Sobyanin.
