Legendary French acts in Russian film

Leo Karaks, a legend of European art-haus, creator of masterpieces "Bad Blood" and "Lovers of New Bridge", learnt cues in Russian languages to act in debut film of Nikolai Homeriki "977".

One of the main female roles plays Ekaterina Golubeva which played in last Karakas`s film "Pola X".

"We now each other with Karaks for a long time and always had mutual understanding. Therefore, it was easer for me to work with him. Of course, we argued sometimes. He has own vision of stage and it was difficult to stand on own opinion. But I think we found common language", - told Nikolai Homeriki.

"Leo spent a lot of time on shooting area. He also work on a film, some fragments of which are connected with Russia", - adds producer.

Nikolai Homeriki whose short film "Together" was awarded by prize Cinefobadatin in Cannes call his new film as "mystical drama".

In producer`s opinion nobody in Russian cinema worked in this genre. Atmosphere of "977" reminds dramatical piece Strugazkih and character played by Karaks determined mystical line of movie.

Premiere of film"977" is planned in spring 2006. Then it will be evident if Nikolai Homeriki could repeat success of his older friend Leo Karaks whose debut mystery "Boy meets girl" 20 years ago brought him a reputation of "French cinematography hope".
