EU leaders offered the Prime Minister of Poland to occupy the position of head of the Council of Europe
European leaders persuaded the Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk to take the post of the President of the European Council, reports on Thursday, the Agency referring to the press Secretary of the Cabinet Ma?gorzata of Kidawa-Blansko.
" European leaders are increasingly convinced Donald Tusk to take the post of the head of the European Council. The Prime Minister belongs to this proposal very seriously, he deeply considers the consequences for Poland and its security, the most in light of the Ukrainian fall ", - said a spokesman for the Agency.
The decision on the candidacy of a new head of the European Council shall be taken at the next EU summit on 30 August. Currently, this post is authorized Belgium Herman van Rompuy.
