"Loco", "CSKA" and "Zenit" reached UEFA Cup
Three Russian clubs at once - "Locomotive", CSKA and "Zenit" reached the second, group tournament of Cup UEFA winning their rivals.
Only Samara club "Krilya Soveta" had lack of fortune to repeat the success of fellow countrymen.
Russian "Locomotive" played with Norway "Brann" on Thursday and won with a score 3:2 (total score for 2 games (5:3)). The game on the stadium in "Cherkizovo" was hard for the home team. First 15 minutes teams were examining each other. The guests from Bregen were playing their "own football".
A good opportunity to open the score on the 31st minute has lost Brazilian legionary of "Locomotive" Francisco Lima who didn?t realize the shot from 11 meters. During the added time of the first period "Bran" has punished the host team for wastefulness: "Locomotive" goalkeeper Sergei Ovchinnikov couldn?t save the gates from Dilan Macallister - 0:1.
The second half was more dynamic. On 61st minute one of the numerous attacks was successful. Dmitrii Loskov scored a goal - 1:1.
On 74th minute the score was 1:2; "Brann" was leading again thanks to Scottish legionary Charles Miller who sent the bal into "nine" of the gates. But three minutes later the balance was restored. After the corner kick of Dmitrii Kruglov Malhaz Asatiani made a score equal by a beautiful kick. A young half-back Diniar Bilyaletdinov has brought victory to Russian team just before the final whistle.
The head coach of Russian CSKA Valery Gassaev said on press-conference that he is pleased with the result of the game with "Midtulland". The victory of Moscow "soldiers" on Thursday evening was confident - 3:1. The same score was 2 weeks ago when teams have met for the first time. As a result CSKA is in group tournament.
The goal of Russian half-back Andrey Arshavin from the distance of 30 meters 1 minute before match end has brought the victory to Russian "Zenit" over Greek AEK - (1:0).
But Samara club "Krilya Soveta" couldn?t reach group tournament. They lost in Alkmare to local club AZ with score (1:3) but as they have won the first game two weeks ago (5:3) the results of two matches were equal (6:6). Unfortunately AZ had two more "guest" goals. And that gave AZ opportunity to reach second tour of Cup UEFA.
The sortition of group Cup UEFA tournament will take place on October 4th in Norway Neon.
