DND: Kiev will not pay pensions to residents of Donbas until spring
Ukrainian Pension Fund froze pensions to residents of Donbas until the spring of 2015, said 1st Deputy Minister of labour and social policy of the self-proclaimed Donetsk national Republic Sergei Tretyakov.
" The Ukrainian Pension Fund does not issue earned pensions to pensioners living in the area of DND. He makes a promise to them to begin payments no earlier than February-March 2015 and then if the pension Fund will be money. However, I know that the Ukrainian pensioners do not experience difficulties in taking pensions " - quoted expression Tretyakov Donetsk news Agency.
Tretyakov said that " citizens for years invested money deducted pension contributions. Ukrainian Foundation continues to work, he has retained liabilities to pensioners, but they just ignore it ", and added that the non-payment of pensions, " ordinary fraud, i.e. a crime against Ukraine ".
As recalled by the Agency, from 1 December 2014 Pension Fund of Ukraine is not working on the area of DND. The last pension payments were made in Donetsk in the last month of summer, in the other settlements of the Republic in June and July. Most people, to get out of the situation, began to re-register in Odessa, Kiev and other Ukrainian cities.
" When the mass re-registration of citizens of the new Russia, the Ukrainian Pension Fund began to implement restrictive measures. Thus, a new and indispensable condition was the availability of residence in the locality where people reregister pension, although this requirement is illegal, pursuant to the provisions of the Ukrainian law " - quoted Tretyakov Agency.
As said the Agency's Deputy Minister of labour DND, residents of Donbas began to apply for a fictitious registration, but after learning about this scheme, the Ukrainian authorities have frozen pensions until spring 2015.
" however, on the area of DND were initiated payments of pension benefits, and citizens, deceived Ukraine twice, thus deprived of the possibility to receive the benefit in the Republic, in fact left without a livelihood. Currently we are working on mechanisms that will help our citizens to solve the Pension problem ". The fact that the Republican Pension Fund and the Pension Fund of Ukraine do not interact, because they do not consider us for the people " - quoted expression Tretyakov Agency.
As they say, the authorities of Donetsk made an offer to the residents get information about what the Pension Fund of Ukraine does not pay them pensions, which will become the basis for the entry of a citizen in the list of the Republican Pension Fund.
