In Uzbekistan demolished the monument to Soviet soldiers
In the town of Angren, Tashkent region by order of the local authorities was milled obelisk in memory of agrenco killed in the great Patriotic war. For what reason it was done and what civil servants intent on a vacant plot of land, is not yet known.
According to local inhabitants, on the site of the obelisk can be built the monument known Uzbek poet Alisher Navoi. The inhabitants of the Angren have already expressed their indignation at the government's decision on the demolition of the monument to the heroes, LifeNews reported.
Uzbek human rights activists have spoken out against such blasphemous decision adherents of power. "The obelisk with a commemorative inscription "Eternal popularity soldiers angrecum who died fighting for the autonomy of our country" stood in the very center of the city since 1967. "Eternal memory" was short, and the obelisk fell short of its own fiftieth birthday in just 2 years," they complain.
