Wexler (Wechsler), David (12.1.1896, Lespedi, Romania - 2/5/1981, New York City) - American psychologist, and psychiatrist psihodiagnost, creator of world-famous intelligence test for adults and children.
. Educated at the College of New York City (Master of Arts, 1916) and Columbia University (Ph.D., 1925)
. Since 1932. by 1967. worked as chief psychologist at Bellevue Psychiatric Hospital in New York City. Since 1942. by 1970. was a clinical professor at the Medical College of New York City, since 1970 - an honorary professor.
. When used in his time, intelligence tests were developed initially for children and adults were transferred after adding jobs more difficult, but the same type, Wexler created a test - the scale of Wechsler-Bellevue - especially for adults
. By 1939, Mr.. published the first version of the scale ( 'Wechsler-Bellevue Intelligence Scale'), which soon became the most common in the U.S..
