KOSTYUK Hrygory

(1899-1982) - Soviet psychologist. Formulated problem of mental development of children. Major works are devoted to the study of thought and speech in the early school years, identifying psychologically sound ways of constructing a teaching material ( 'Questions psychology of thinking', 1951). K. belongs to a number of works on the history of psychology ( 'Essays on the history of Soviet psychology', 1959).
