Joseph Volotskii

(in the world - Ivan Sanin) (1439-1515) - a church leader, writer. From family Volokolamsky landowner. In J.446 g. apprenticed to an elder Arseny Lezhenke Volokolamsky Exaltation of the Cross Monastery. In 1460, Mr.. a monk in Pafnutevo-Borovsky monastery, where he spent the next 20 years. After the death Pafnutii approved a new abbot of the monastery. In 1503, Mr.. joined the fight against non-covetous on the monastery's land tenure.
