Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands (Wilgelmina) - the only daughter from his second marriage of King William III (Willaim III, 1817-1890) and Queen Emma (Emma Waldeck-Pyrmont, 1858-1934). Three sons, William III, born in the first marriage with Sophia Virtembergskoy (Sophie Wirtemberg, 1818-1877) William (William, 1840-1879), Maurice (Maurits, 1843-1850) and Alexander (Alexander, 1851-1884) did not survive the father. Princess Wilhelmina became Queen of the Netherlands after the death of King William III in 1890, but before it reaches vosemnadtsatiletiya, regent for her was Queen Emma.
Fifty years reign of Queen Wilhelmina embraced two world wars and decolonization of Indonesia. Fixed independent position advocated by the Queen in politics while in exile from 1940 to 1945, GG, aroused universal respect for, both in Holland and throughout the world.
The Queen and her husband, the Duke of Mecklenburg, Henrik (Henrik Mecklenburg), in 1909, a daughter, Juliana (Juliana). In 1948, Queen Wilhelmina's health deteriorated, she renounced the throne and became Queen Juliana of the Netherlands.
