Criticism

... The author's desire to work in the architectural space determined his creative quest. He turned to the creation of monumental and decorative objects-reliefs, stained glass, svetoplasticheskie objects, illuminated stained-glass paintings. In the 1980's Rileyev decorated for his work dozens of interiors of public buildings in Yoshkar-Ola, Zheleznogorsk, Archangelsk, Moscow, Sochi and others. His work, through the power of plastic effects are dominant sites of each of the architectural space.
. Universalism of the author is reflected in its constant expansion of boundaries, types and genres of art, as well as in treatment of different materials, which the author understands to avidity of the experimenter and the thoroughness of an artisan
. Ceramics and glass, wood and metal, plastic pass through the hands of the artist, in whose work is measured, harmonized, seemingly incompatible.
At the end of 1980 A. Rileyev drawn to the window and opens a new world for themselves glass sculpture. Tracks "male head", "Saint Sebastian" (1990-1991), created in Technology mollirovannogo glass, have been recognized in exhibitions in Russia, in Erfurt (Configuration 91), Holland, Sweden. Plastic molding power, the contrasts of textures, light, technical refinement in conjunction with the larger size (sculptures installed at the high column pedestals) have recognized the work of Alexander Ryleeva in a wide range of artistic glass movement.
