Baranov Platon Ivanovich

born October 20, 1827, studied at the School of Law, from 1865 until his death (December 24, 1884) was director of the Senate archive. Under the title "Archives of the Government of the Senate" (3 vols., St. Petersburg., 1872 - 78) he published an inventory of the Imperial decrees in the period from 1707 to 1762. B. had more in mind to draw up a common vocabulary of senators, but life had to issue only a pamphlet: "Michael A. Balugyansky (St. Petersburg, 1882). The remaining material after it became the property of his nephew, Semenova, issued the "Biographical sketches of senators on the materials collected by the PI. Kostya (Moscow, 1886).
