Biography Vernadsky Ivan
Born in 1821. Kiev, here was a university student, was a teacher of Russian literature in school. In 1843, Mr.. University of St. Vladimir dispatched him abroad for improvement in the political economy. In 1847, Mr.. Vernadsky defended in St. Petersburg, on the degree of Master's thesis: "Essay on the theory of needs" (St. Petersburg, 1857). From 1846, Mr.. by 1849. Vernadsky, . with the rank of associate, . the department of political economy at the University of St. Vladimir, in 1849, . upon receipt of the doctorate for a thesis: "critical-historical study of the Italian political-economic literature to the beginning of XIX century" (M., . 1849), . was approved by the extraordinary professor, . In 1850 he was transferred to the same chair at the Moscow University and was here from 1851 to 1856,
. full professor until he entered the service in St. Petersburg official of special commissions to the Minister of Internal Affairs (1856 - 1867). Since this post was connected to his professor's office in the Main Pedagogical Institute (1857 - 1859) and in the Alexander Lyceum (1861 - 1868). From 1868 - 1976 g. Vernadsky was office manager of the state bank in Kharkov, where he was also Chair of the Association of Mutual Credit and Deputy Chairman of the Statistical Committee. He died in St. Petersburg in 1884. As a scientist, Vernadsky was a follower of Manchester School of political economy. He still owned the following works: "The political balance and England" (M., . 1855 and St. Petersburg., . 1877; German translation: "Die Weltherrschaft Englands", . Mitau, . 1857); "Romanisches beginning and Napoleonidy (St. Petersburg, . 1855), "Essay on the History of Political Economy" (St. Petersburg, . 1858), "On the statistical congresses and administrative statistics in general" (St. Petersburg, . 1863), "About me and Trade, . public lectures, . with the application of articles about the protective system and differential fees in Russia (St. Petersburg, . 1865) and many articles in various periodicals,
. In addition, Vernadsky translated from the French works L.V. Tengoborskogo "On the productive forces of Russia" (3 parts, M., 1854 - 58) and Henry Storch: "The course of political economy, or statement of principles, conditional public welfare" (St. Petersburg, 1881, t. I). In 1857, Mr.. Vernadsky was founded in St. Petersburg weekly magazine "Economic Index", which at one time enjoyed considerable success and stopped at the end of 1861, as an annex to a "pointer" out "Economist".
