Vysotskaya Michael Timofeevich

(about 1791 - 1837). Play guitar learned from S.N. Aksenova. Fascinated by the classics, especially Bach, fugues which attempted to shift for guitar. This was reflected in the serious and noble style of his guitar works (mostly fantasy and variations on Russian folk themes, there are transcriptions of pieces by Mozart, Field, Beethoven).
