Biography GEORGIAN Petro
(1837 - 1892). Initially self-taught, studied drawing in his parents' house, in 1851. Students enrolled in the Academy of Fine Arts, where his principal mentor was Professor B.P. Villevalde. In 1860, Mr.. received a small gold medal for the painting: "gypsy camp", and in 1862. awarded a large gold medal for the painting: "Taking Gunib", and went abroad as a pensioner of the Academy. In Paris, wrote a scene: "Picket Zouaves on maneuvers in France, which was acquired by the Academy, and" Market in the Fontainebleau, "attracted the attention of the public on the academic exhibition 1872. In 1864, Mr.. came from Paris to Russia to travel to the Caucasus with a view to making sketches from nature, . study of local types, and general collection materials for the planned paintings: "Abandonment mountaineers villages on the approach of Russian troops", . intended for the Paris World Exhibition,
