Biography Delle Alexander von
Born in 1814, in Kurland. After graduating from the course at the University of Dorpat on the History and Philology, received a master's degree for his thesis "De vita Livii Andronici" (1838). After that, he was appointed to the chair of Greek and Roman literature at Kiev University. Ph.D. he bought only in 1864, presenting a thesis essay "Beitrage zur Kritik und Erklarung der Satiren des D. Junius Juvenalis ", which appeared in the light much earlier (Kiev, 1846). With professorships since 1857, he combined the post of Director of the Kiev 1 st Gymnasium. In 1867, Mr.. moved to the chair of Roman literature in Kharkiv, where he died in 1882, Mr.. In Russian Delle wrote: "A brief historical sketch of ancient Greek literature" (Kiev, 1851) and analysis of works Eshevskogo, KS.
