Lerch Petro

(1828 - 1884). He graduated from the course at St. Petersburg University of Faculty of Oriental Studies. His "Studies on the Iranian Kurds and their ancestors, northern Chaldeans" (1856 - 1858) soon brought him fame in the scientific world. Academy of Sciences in 1856. sent it to the city Roslavl (Smolensk province) for a meeting at the settlement where the Kurdish prisoners ethnographic and linguistic data. In "Proceedings of the Russian Archaeological Society (1862 - 1864) Lerch published several articles on the Stone and Bronze Ages.
