Plutarco Elias Calles

Plutarco Elias Calles was born September 25, 1877 in Guaymas, Sonora. In 1910 he joined the struggle of Francisco Madero against the dictatorship of Porfirio Diaz. Calles was an extremely gifted organizer and leader, and became a general in 1914, also distinguished himself in battle, first against Victoriano Huerta, murdered Madero, and then Pachno against Villa and his rebel troops.
