He was born in Brahmin family of astrologers / astronomers. Spent his life in his native village, doing science and sharing their knowledge with students. G. was a teacher of a number of prominent scientists.

G. - The author of many works on astrology, astronomy, as well as Indian law. His major work on astronomy, "Grahalaghava" ( "Grahalaghava"), Mr.. written in 1520, when he was 13 years old. This work, starting from the XVI century. Has become the most popular Sanskrit astronomical treatise in the northern and western India. Among the astrological work of Mr.. should mention the comments made by them to work on elective astrology, written by his father, Keshav.
