Biography Pokrovsky Constantine Dorimedontovich
Born in 1868. Educated in the classical school of Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow University at the Faculty of Mathematics. The essay: "Origin of periodic comets" received in 1902. from Moscow University, a Master of Astronomy. Lectures at the University Yuryev reads from 1896. In 1906, remaining astronomer Tartu University, was elected professor of astronomy freestyle high school in St. Petersburg. During his stay in Moscow from 1890 to 1895. charge of a private observatory F. Schwabe. Print: "Guide to the Skies (1 ed., Moscow, 1894, 2 ed., St. Petersburg., Awarded a small prize of Emperor Peter the Great and from the Astronomical Society - Prize Emperor Nicholas Alexandrovich). In this work, and this dissertation published: "The success of astronomy in the XIX century" (St. Petersburg, 1902), "Star Atlas" (St. Petersburg, 1906) and a number of works published in the "Ann. de l'Observ. de Moscou "(1893 - 1,896)," Astron. Nachr. "(1897 - 1906)," Himmel und Erde "," Memoirs of Scientists of the University of Tartu "," Izvestia, the Russian Astronomical Society "," Physics and Mathematics, Yearbook "(I, Moscow)," World of God "and other publications as the Russian and overseas.
