Seriously engaged in astrology. The son of a shoemaker, K. since childhood showed unusual aptitudes and abilities. According to legend, in his childhood he was devoted to the secrets of alchemy and fully trained in the secret science-Kabbalist rabbi in two weeks. K. arrived in Naples, where he met a Jewish astrologer Abraham (Abraham), who presented him with the astrological science and related disciplines. In 1598-99 he. K. headed in Calabria conspiracy against Spanish rule, was captured and sentenced to life imprisonment. During the nearly 27-year stay in the Neapolitan prisons K. written dozens of books, some published in Germany and distributed in the lists. In his worldview (like Ficino), astrology and the occult in a key position, as evidenced by such works of K., as "De sensu rerum et magia" (1620) and "Astrologicorum libri VII" (1629-30). General, K. wrote a number of magical, astrological and alchemical writings, but most of them did not survive. Famous Utopian. "Sun City" (1602, published. 1623) imbued astrological symbolism.

In May 1626, Mr.. K. was released and moved to Rome with the help of Pope Urban VIII, in 1629, Mr.. justified. As is evident from the work of "Astrolologicorum libri VII", K. Urban VIII was used as an advisor on matters astrological. In 1634, Mr.. K. fled to France in connection with the threat of extradition to the Spanish authorities. K. predicted date of his death - June 1, 1639, Mr.. (during a solar eclipse). He died in the convent of the Jacobins in Paris for 10 days before the predicted day.
