Rachmaninov, Ivan Ivanovich

educated in the 3rd Moscow high school, then enrolled at Moscow University, where he graduated from the course in 1848. the degree of Candidate of Mathematical Sciences. In 1852, at the same university, Rachmaninov thesis master's degree in mathematical sciences ( "The Theory of vertical water wheels", Moscow, 1852) which won the Academy of Sciences Honorary reviews. In 1853, Mr.. Rachmaninoff was appointed assistant professor in the department of applied mathematics at the University of St. Vladimir. In 1856, for the essay "The basic theory of relative motion and some of its applications as examples of" (not published), was awarded the degree of Doctor of Mathematical Sciences and Astronomy. In 1857, Mr.. Rachmaninov approved a professor of the Department of occupied. Numerous works of Rachmaninoff's extremely diverse in content. In some memoirs, a purely theoretical nature Rachmaninov parses the so-called principles of mechanics. In other works, he solves the problems of practical mechanics, mainly on hydraulics.
