Biography Richter, Wilhelm Mikhailovich
1767 - 1822 At the end of the course at Moscow University in 1786, went abroad, where he studied the art of obstetrics in GцІttingen and Berlin. In 1788 was awarded the degree of Doctor of Medicine University of Erlangen. In 1790 R. returned to Russia and was approved in the degree of Doctor of Medicine Medical College in St. Petersburg, in the same year he was appointed professor of obstetrics art at Moscow University. Under the direction of P. was opened in 1806 a new Institute of obstetrics and maternity hospital at the University of Moscow, in addition, P. founded the Institute of obstetrics at the Imperial house educational and here he taught the theory and practice of obstetrics art. A major contribution to the cultural history of Russia represents his "Geschichte der Medizin in Russland" (Moscow, 1813 - 17, Russian translation Beketova, 2 nd ed., Moscow, 1820), for which P. looking for archival materials. Mostly he enjoyed the affairs of the embassy of the order, but he remained unknown to the columns, books and affairs of a drugstore order established under Michael Godunov, the paper which he thought were lost during the fire of 1812.
